The Information Photonics Laboratory (IPLab) welcomes students with a wide range of interests in the interdisciplinary research of optics/photonics and information or mathematical sciences. We are looking not only for students with backgrounds in applied physics or information science, but also for those with a strong commitment to personal growth through research and a willingness to take on new challenges across different fields. Regardless of your undergraduate institution or major, we value intellectual curiosity and the desire for self-improvement. Our laboratory is a part of the Department of Information and Physical Sciences, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Osaka. We accept students into both the master's and doctoral programs. A five-year integrated Ph.D. program is also available:

How to Join Our Laboratory
Undergraduate students from the Applied Physics Course of the Department of Applied Science, School of Engineering, The University of Osaka, can become members of our lab. If you are interested in IPLab, please feel free to contact Professor Ogura.
