In the TOMBO, the depth of field is deeper than that of conventional cameras because the focal length of the lenslets is shorter and a focusing mechanism can be removed in most cases.

If an object is located out of the depth of field, a blurry image is observed. It can be removed after image processing.

Partition is placed on the image sensor to prevent overlaps of the unit images.

Advanced high-resolution image sensors will enhance the resolution and functionalities of TOMBO.
